SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this person is to be a 12-hour night shift operator. This person will monitor alarms & trends of plant systems, respond to systems alarms, respond to customer request for service as well as perform routine maintenance on building systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate & maintain plant utility systems including: - Boilers, steam and hot water systems & related equipment. - Chillers, chilled water systems and related equipment. - Closed loop process cooling water systems - De-ionized water systems - Air compressors and related equipment. - Bulk gas storage and distribution system - Plant electrical system - Waste collection systems. Ensure that all building systems, facilities and utilities function efficiently and reliable Keep walkways clear during inclement weather Monitor alarms and trends of building systems and responding to alarms Respond to customers request for service and perform minor repairs to facilities as needed Troubleshoot and repair equipment associated with building systems and utilities, Perform PM's on equipment associated with building systems and utilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to lift 100lbs
- Must be capable of becoming qualified in the operation of site specific utility systems
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule involving 12 hr shifts, weekends & holidays
- Experience as a utilities operator preferably in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer at least 5 years experience as a utilities operator preferably in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge in the operation of boilers, chillers, air compressors. Must be able to start and stop equipment, monitor operation, troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance
