We currently have an opening for a Product Engineer within our LED Chips group. This position will be stationed at our headquarters in Raleigh/Durham, NC.
Summary:
This position will work closely with the business units to identify organizational opportunities to optimize performance through structural and development assessments. At a macro level, this position will be responsible for aligning multiple processes and systems to enhance workforce effectiveness.
Shift: 1st Shift + One Weekend Day (Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs)
Responsibilities:

Provide engineering support for high volume manufacturing across multiple engineering departments around the world.

Analyze data using sound statistical methodology to drive improvements and recommendations to operations or process engineering.

Support development and implementation of strategies to drive cycle time reduction, yield monitoring and enhancement projects on assigned product lines.

Take ownership for resolving customer quality issues on assigned product lines.

Lead and facilitate cross functional teams for problem solving. This includes coordinating activities between the various opto engineering departments.

Interface with marketing, process, NPI and reliability engineering to solve problems and implement new processes.

Take leadership role to establish relationships between multiple manufacturing sites and engineering departments to ensure timely communication and effective problem solving.
Minimum Requirements:

BS in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering

2 years recent experience as a Product Engineer or Process Engineer in a semiconductor environment

Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
Preferred Qualifications:

5-7 years work experience as a Product Engineer or Process Engineer in a semiconductor environment
