Pit ManagerDescription
Summary:
Under the direct report of the Table Games Shift Manager/ Assistant Shift Manager, the Pit Manager implements policies and procedures to ensure adherence to our internal controls in their assigned Pit area. Safeguard Company assets located in the assigned pit with emphasis on guest service, monitoring team member (Supervisors, Boxperson, dealers) performance and game protection. Thorough working knowledge of all table games. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Guests and Harrington Team Members.
Major Responsibilities:
„X Enforce casino rules and regulations as well as that of the Delaware Video Lottery
„X Respond to and act on Guest disputes arising on games
„X Maintain proper inventories through fills and credits
„X Verify and issue Credit to guests
„X Direct assignments of Pit Personnel
„X Issue pit playing cards and dice and inspect them for irregularities
„X Issue complimentaries based on guests¡¦ rated play
„X Other job related duties as assigned
„X Responsible for protecting the integrity of games in an assigned area
„X Supervises Harrington Raceway Casino Dealers, Supervisor and Boxpeople
„X May train employees, do written appraisals of Supervisor and Dealer performance
„X Monitor guests play to ensure that there are no advantage players or card/dice cheats
„X Issue, balance and reconcile cards, dice and other sensitive gaming items related to the overall function of the pit area
„X Monitor adherence to the time and attendance policy
„X Monitor the payroll sheets for accuracy
Requirements:
„X Must be a highly organized, motivated individual proficient in all games within their direct supervision.
„X Minimum age requirement-21
„X Must provide excellent communication skills
„X High School Diploma or GED required
„X Must have dealt the minimum of the following Blackjack, Craps, Mini Baccarat and Roulette (as well as two Carnival Games)
„X Must have at least 5 years dealing experience
„X The ability to distinguish letters, colors and symbols
„X Regular predictable attendance
„X The ability to calculate math figures quickly and accurately
„X Must maintain a neat professional appearance at all times
„X Must work well under pressure and be able to multi-task
„X Must have been a Supervisor for a minimum of 5 years
„X Card Counting abilities preferred as well as knowledge of advantage play detection
„X Knowledge of Casino computer system
„X Excel/Word knowledge preferred
