Responsible for providing prompt and friendly service to all of the guests of Bonz in an efficient, courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of customer service. Responsible for prompt preparation of all hot entrees, proper portion control and presentation of product. Ability to answer any and all customer questions in a courteous and patient manner. Must have knowledge of basic vegetable prep (mise en use), slicing, dicing, and proper food handling techniques. Must know proper frying, grilling, roasting, and poaching techniques along with knowledge of various cooking sauces. Proficiency in knife and equipment skills. Keep recipe cards and assist Steakhouse Chef in preparing new cards for special or new menu items. Performs carving, sauté or other designated functions as needed. Ability to handling varying business. Responsible for utilizing all safety equipment as mandated by the kitchen positions. Maintains a safe and sanitary kitchen work area by Board of health standards. Monitors for compliance with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls and government rules and regulations. Promotes positive public and employee relations. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements:High School diploma or GED equivalent or a minimum 2 to 5 years related experience. Culinary expertise and creative. Must wear provided uniform, hair net/hat and non-skid shoes. Must be able to work with others as a team player. Minimum 18 years old. No recent felony convictions. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, & holidays.
