SEPTA is seeking an Intake Associate for our Claims Department! This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Center City, Philadelphia.

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma and One year of experience using case management and or database applications.


The pay rate for this opening is $17.94.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

Under the general supervision of Manager, Intake/Intel creates a single case record that captures, in a structured, standardized, and timely manner, all information related to an incident that will be critical to others during the investigation and evaluation of a potential claim or complaint.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receives and registers incoming telephone calls and electronic or paper documents pertaining to all matters: claims, Customer Service, and operational report, complaints, etc.

2. Utilizing the Office of General Counsel's designated applications, electronic search criteria, and establish checklist(s), determines existing report of incident match to incoming matter, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and prevention of duplication. Processing information accordingly..

3. Progresses registered matters to next step process in a timely manner.

4. In accordance with unit manager's protocols, promptly corresponds with and professionally responds to claimants and others regarding inquiries or request for information.

5. Provides electronic or paper document claim form to claimants or others within established time frame.

6. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* One year experience using case management or equivalent data entry process, and/or database application required.

* Must pass Data Entry Call Center exam.

* Must posse excellent verbal communication skills and telephone protocol.

* Must possess PC and keyboarding skills and general knowledge of computer applications.
