 Job Description 
SEPTA's Railroad Division is seeking an experienced Body Welder to work on our rail vehicles and equipment. Must be proficient in ARC and fuel gas welding and cutting on steel. Also welds aluminum, magnesium, alloys, and/or other light metal parts or items. Performs all position welding such as vertical, horizontal, overhead and flat welding.

Qualifications for this position include the following:

· High School diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver's license
· Must be an experienced and certified (e.g. Asmeddi,API, AWS, Military Standard 248) welder using fuel gas; must have experience with gas metal techniques.
· Must be capable and knowledgeable in welding plain/low carbon steel, stainless steel, low alloy high strength steels, etc.
· Must know A.W.S. symbols
· Must be available to be on call during storms and emergencies.

Starting salary is $22.76/hr with progressive increases each year. Top rate after 36 months is $32.52/hr.
