 Job Description 
SEPTA is seeking experienced commercial Electricians who will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing and repairing electrical equipment and systems in our City Division shops and facilities.

We are seeking applicants with proven experienced on commercial and/or industrial projects. Must be proficient in the installation, maintenance, repair, testing and adjustment of electrical equipment. Will perform electrical maintenance on air compressors, car and bus washers, cranes, overhead doors and cyclone cleaners at various shops and facilities.

Job Requirements:

Consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) respiratory protection standard, this position requires the use of a tight fitting respirator. SEPTA employees required to wear a tight fitting respirator must be clean-shaven and fit-tested.

- High School diploma or equivalent is required. Technical school training is a plus.

- A valid driver's license is required. If hired for this position, you will be required to obtain a CDL license at a later date.

- Must have proven a minimum of one year paid work experience on commercial electrical projects. Please note that residential electrical experience will not be considered.

- In lieu of the above work experience requirement, completion of a two-year training program in commercial electrical maintenance is acceptable.

- Knowledge of National Electrical Code, and ability to read and work from drawings and schematics is a must.

- Must own hand tools related to the electrician trade.
Starting salary in our City Division is $28.60/hour with an increase to $31.77 after one year. Wage rates in our Railroad Division are lower.
